The impact of the new regulations and the third Covid-19 wave has been severe‚ particularly for Gauteng-bound travellers. Under the new regulations‚ leisure travel has been banned and the number of business trips is negligible as many people choose to work remotely.
What action is being taken?
As a result‚ we have decided to cancel all flights on our Johannesburg - Cape Town route from 5-31 July. The schedule is set to resume and bookings remain open for flights departing from 1 August 2021.
What does this mean for your booking?
LIFT customers holding valid tickets up to and including 04 July 2021:
All LIFT customers with bookings during this period are able to change or cancel ‘via manage my booking’ without any penalty fees.
Your flight can be changed to one of the following options:
1. Rebook to fly before or on 4 July
2. Rebook to fly from 1 August onwards
No Penalty Fees will apply for cancellations or flight changes‚ but a difference in fare may apply to flight changes.
Your flight can also be cancelled into a LIFT wallet and all credits can be used for any future flights or associated services‚ such as seats and baggage.
LIFT customers holding valid tickets from 05 July up to and including 31 July 2021:
All affected LIFT travellers will be provided with an alternative flight. New flight details will be communicated via email and SMS to the contact details provided at the time of booking. Travellers with the earliest departure dates will be notified first. For any flight changes or alternative arrangements‚ please make contact with the LIFT Customer Support Desk by emailing email@example.com
Our schedule is set to resume and bookings remain open from the 1st August 2021.
We would like to thank you in advance for taking all the necessary precautions and we cannot wait to see you onboard again real soon!
Take care and mask up.
